So I haven't posted in a few weeks because although some may say these are the best years of my life, I beg to differ! I have been stressed to the absolute maximum and have had no time to do this blog let alone the things that have to be done. I have spent at least 5 hours on homework already this week and this is the first week of classes and haven't learned anything that I recall. I have been in my Daddy's office more than I have EVER been .. Lucky him, and I have already dropped and added math classes to avoid failing anything haha. Put in my two weeks for the first time ever and started a new job, trying to figure out my finances. Now saying all of this I hope you all understand why I have been slack on my blog. My life is a little busy to say the least. I love you all and I apologize if I do not answer and call or text you back in a timely manner but I will do my best.
Sincerely,
I college student with to many things on her plate

Hateful Waitress.....enough said!
Ahhhhh!!! is the best word I have to describe the feelings I have about being a waitress.
I will give you all a little advice.
-TIP TWENTY PERCENT! this is not 1940 bills are way more expensive and 10% doesn't cut it.
-A verbal tip does NOT count. It doesn't matter how many times you say "Your service was great!" if I see you left me 10% I will automatically hate you.
-Think before you ask a dumb question.Really, really think.
-If it is not in the menu we DON'T have it! (and no we can NOT make it for you just because that is what you want, Go to Burger King and have it your way!
-If your children make a mess at least attempt to clean it up.
-"What's a Cheddar Wedge?" What do you think it is!? let's work this out.... Cheddar cheese and literally a Wedge of it!
-If you don't need change tell them so they don't waist their time counting out change for you to just say, "keep the change."
-Don't say Red Wine, Say exactly the kind you want, I'm sure there is more than one kind of Red wine in that restaurant.
-If half of your party goes to the bathroom right when you walk in they will probably not come talk to you until everyone is there.
-If you seat yourself and there is clearly a sign that says, "Please WAIT to be Seated" you won't get menus and no one will help you.
-If you are almost out of drink I am more than likely on my way to get you more so don't wave your glass at me!(this goes for slurping the last ounce of your drink to get my attention as well)
-If you wave at me for my attention I will just wave back and walk away.
-If you don't want mayo on your sandwich you need to answer no mayo when I ask you, " Do you want the lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayo?"
-Do not leave your ice-cream cups from Kilwins on the table for me to clean up.
-If the door is locked DO NOT LEAN YOUR FACE ON THE GLASS! and if it is locked no matter how hard you throw yourself into it, it will NOT open.
-If someone working is standing outside taking names on a "WAITlist" YOU ARE TO WAIT!!!!! not go inside because you feel like she is lying to you.
-If you walk in and the whole restaurant is empty except one dirty table, DON'T SIT AT THE DIRTY ONE, pick another!
-If they ask you "Do we need a few minutes?" and you're the one who isn't sure, SPEAK UP that means I need to come back in a minute.
-Don't fight over the check while I am standing there. SOMEONE JUST PAY THE THING!
-Don't go out to dinner with your family to tell them something dramatic that will make the whole table really awkward for your server.
-If you are standing somewhere that the server needs to ask you 10 times to move, MOVE! because they will end up pushing you and not saying a word.
-Soup and Half a sandwich..... Ok, what soup would you like?French onion. and what sandwich? Grill Cheese. HAVE YOU EVER MADE HALF A GRILL CHEESE AT HOME? NO, guess what neither do we!
-and last but not least, IF YOU ARE RUDE TO ME, I WILL BE RUDE TO YOU!
Please take these tips next time you go out.
Thank You,
Your Neighborhood Waitress

I'm smiling because I'm your sister. I'm laughing because there is nothing you can do about it! LOVE YOU CHEYNIE :)
15 years ago Saturday I remember sitting in the hospital with my mom when the door opened and one baby rolled in and then another behind it. The first was my doll Tyler, who was purchased by my Grammy to help me cope with the arrival of a new baby. The second was my little sister Cheyenne. Of course at the time I thought it was the coolest thing to have my own baby just like Momma but what I have come to see now is that, that day I was given more than just a baby-doll. The Lord blessed me with a sister, a companion, and a best friend.
Yes, we were the sisters that fought and had hateful words because that is what sisters do. I did tie her up with jump ropes and left her on the picnic table while convincing her we were playing Cowboys and Indians. I did push her down the stairs, jump so hard that she flew off the trampoline, threw balls at her when we weren't playing dodge-ball, and made fun of her for the stupidest things. I know, I know, Marissa you were so mean but what you don't know is that she is my best friend and always has been. Cheyenne has been my comfort and support ever since we were little. I slept with her until I was 16 and still had the occasional "sneak down to her room without mom and dad knowing" after I had "officially" moved to my own room because I would get scared and need my Cheynie. She knows all the secrets my other family members don't know and I know they will never come out because she is my lock box. Cheyenne is also the person that has comforted me in many of my wrecks. Let's recall my recent one ..... I was standing in a parking lot next to my broken car, crying my eyes out, a complete mess. Cheyenne comes up to me hugs me and says "Sissy, it will be OK, I promise." We then proceed to get in Mom's car so she can take me to work, she says "Marissa you want some gum? It helps with stress." It took all I had not to scream NO I DON'T WANT ANY GUM! but I held my composer and said "No, Thank you though." I seriously don't know anyone who would respond that way to me being hysterical and she did because she is Cheynie. If anyone knows her you know what this mean. This simple little question in a crisis made me make a decision in my future that is really important to me. My sister, my best friend, my Cheynie will be the person standing beside me in the delivery room. Why? She is the only person that will hold my hand and not admit that I am about to break it, she is the person who will go into another surgery to find me an epidural if that is what I ask for, she is the one that will tell me "oh it's not the bad, really," she is the only one that I trust to hold my baby as it takes it's first breaths. Cheyenne is everything I could as for in a sister and a friend. Even though I am the older sister I look up to her (not only because she is taller than me) because she is someone that I admire. She is everything I wish I was, cool, calm, collected, beautiful, caring, smart, and loving. You all really don't know how much I love this girl. Technically we didn't finish growing up together and that I regret more than anything but that does not mean I don't love her with every bit of my heart and more. I am truly blessed and extremely thankful that I am the one chosen to have her as my sister. Cheyenne, I love you sissy! Thank you for being my sister and a wonderful woman!

This one is for Lee...
Let me start by saying CHUNKY does NOT mean fat! Also some might think I am obsessed with this song. Well, I AM!
This song was introduced to me by Cheyenne and Heather and I fell in love and of course since I like it, Lee does not. The day I heard it I sang (the only part I could remember) all day long. Lee did not appreciate as much as I did but what he doesn't know is that I will continue to sing this song until he does. I have Heather, Cheynie, and Kasi on my side that this song is the BEST thing ever written. For all of you who don't find this funny you obviously have to many skinny people in your life's. CHUNKY is where it is at. I have Charlie, Brady, and Lee that make me smile each day and I love my Big Boys with all my heart.
Lee, I hope you enjoy this post because I laughed the entire time I was typing it!

The little things!
This is my first blog so I thought I would start it simple by saying all the little things that make me happy.
Today I sat in the bathroom floor putting on my makeup and looked beside me with the little eyes of my dog Willa looking up at me and I had to take a minute away from putting myself together to think about all the little things in my life that make me happy. So here is a little list of the little things in Marissa's life.
Eating a blue sucker and smiling at everyone.
Wearing two different socks.
Picking a flower and putting it in your hair.
Chocolate milk.
Charlie's big grin.
Brady's big belly.
My Momma's lap when I'm upset.
The smell of Nana's house.
Watching Fresh Prince of Bel Air in the mornings.
Getting a good tip.
Sweet old ladies that wave at you when you pass themon the road .

My Uncle Clevie's hugs.
The compliments I always get from Casey, "Rissa's you look pretty today."
Getting a pedicure.
Sitting by a campfire with marsh mellows on my face.
Having a clean car.
The cool side of the pillow.
Sleeping in the rain.
Camping.
Taking a drive on a road you have never been down.
The inside jokes with Heather.
Sitting at my favorite spot thinking of nothing at all.
My beach song.
The smell of the beach.
and
The butterflies I still get on my way to see Lee.
These are just a few things that I though about while Willa continued to stare at me but they are the things that make my life a little better each day.
